Brandon Flowers with his newly established band, The Killers, had some of their early gigs at a gay drag club in Las Vegas. They were inspired by New Order’s music video for “Crystal” where they derived their identity. After the times spent in bars, word about them soon spread to the extent that they captured the attention of a British music label called Lizard King. It was that avenue where they made their entry to United Kingdom, their first tour outside the United States. Those who saw their act left unanimously enamored while their subsequent appearance at New York inked a deal with Island Records. From there, the four boys set on foot once more as they sold out their own headline shows including a full Valentine’s Day affair at ICA in London.

This summer Bale will again play Bruce Wayne in the latest Batman movie - The Dark Knight. And then next summer (May 22, 2009 - to be exact) Bale will star in what is sure to be the summer’s biggest movie, the latest Terminator movie - Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. This movie will be huge and it will vault Bale into the stratosphere as he plays the role of John Connor.

And really stardom couldn’t happen to a better guy. Bale is really involved in some worthy causes and uses his money and his name to influence positive change in this world. He comes from a family that is involved in causes (his father actually married famed feminist Gloria Steinem in 2000) that are noble. So he was raised to care and try to make positive changes and he’s sure to continue with his great works.

So maybe you’ve heard of Christian Bale and maybe you haven’t. But one thing’s for sure, within the next year and a half, everyone will know exactly who this great actor is.

I’m often amazed to see the how grand and bizarre the fashion industry has become. For some reason it’s difficult for me to fathom people and their utter love for clothing.
